A little bit about us.
We’re a cosy, family-run furniture business where every member of the team feels like part of the family. We all share a real passion for what we do and take pride in offering excellent service and beautiful products to our customers.
Our journey began in 2013, right here in the city of Kingston upon Hull. Trina took inspiration from her two sons, Ryan and Daniel, which led to the creation of our name, Rydan.
If you’d like to get to know us better or put faces to the names, take a look at the short bios we’ve put together below!
Meet The Team,

Trina
I founded Rydan in 2013 with the encouragement and support of my husband, Dave. With a background in interior design and project management, I’m passionate about working closely with clients to bring their visions to life. I strive to create spaces that reflect each client’s personal style while balancing comfort and functionality. Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends and taking long walks with our dog, Henri. -

Since leaving school, I’ve built my career in retail, mainly in management roles. After working with several well-known retailers, I decided to take a new direction and joined Rydan, where I now work as General Manager. My role covers everything from managing stock and deliveries to keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me on a beach or by the pool, cocktail in hand, soaking up the sun. When a holiday isn’t on the cards, I love spending time in the garden, especially when the weather’s warm..

I joined Rydan as a graduate intern and now lead our marketing campaigns and social media content. I love bringing creativity and fresh ideas to the team, helping to showcase our work and connect with a wider audience. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and experimenting in the kitchen, cooking is a real passion of mine, and I’m always trying out new dishes and flavours.

I’ve spent much of my working life in public service, including 12 years in the RAF stationed around the world, followed by 20 years in the police. After retiring from the force in 2021, I returned to Hull and, after a couple of years away from work, joined Rydan as part of the delivery team, thanks to a bit of persuasion from my sister-in-law to join the family business. Family is a huge part of my life, especially after so many years working away from home. I’m also a keen baker and love sharing cakes and treats whenever I get the chance.

Henri
Henri is a big part of our family and a familiar face in the showroom. When you visit, he’ll be waiting to greet you and soak up all your attention. If you’re stopping by, you’re more than welcome to bring your own four-legged friend along too when you visit.

I might not work at Rydan full-time, but I’m always happy to lend a hand to my wife whenever she needs it. From keeping the books in order to helping deliver your orders, I’m proud to play my part in supporting our family business. behind the scenes.
